You are invited on an audio-visual journey of the famous trade route, followed by afternoon tea.
Images of the present-day Western China Province of Xingiang combine with voices of characters, real and imagined, from the past to recreate the atmosphere of this famous trade route, the Silk Road. Traveling through magnificent mountain scenery and across the Taklamakan, “the desert of no return”. In the old oasis towns we discover ancient mosques, fascinating vibrant markets and learn about the Uigur people.
