Thank you to County Durham Community Foundation for supporting our ‘Reach for the Stars’ Film Making Project!
‘Reach for the Stars’ caters specifically for individuals with learning disabilities or as we prefer ‘Special Abilities’. Learners explore themes, ideas, story generation and planning in a relaxed environment. Course encourage team working both in front and behind the camera, shooting short fun scenes, which are combined to produce a finished film.
It is a great opportunity to gain confidence and new skills as well as develop friendships. Each project concludes with a film screening and awards ceremony to which family, friends and the public are invited.
