Wellbeing Sessions
Now extended to 10 weeks!!!
Are the effects of the lockdowns and restrictions imposed by Covid still leaving you feeling a bit anxious and uncertain? Do you find the prospect of dark nights and short days over the next few months a bit depressing? If so, this could be for you.
Many people over the last two years have suffered from social isolation, loneliness, a loss of confidence and just feeling very low. For the past few months we have been exploring ways in which we could offer support and help. We have now decided to work together with an organisation at Durham (RT Projects) who are specialists in these areas. With effect from week commencing 8th February we have arranged ‘taster’ sessions which will provide a range of creative activities (art, craft etc.). You do not need any skill or ability in these areas – you would not be preparing something to be shown at an exhibition! Experience has shown that just taking part in creative activities can improve self-confidence, reduce anxiety and raise self-esteem.
Programme for the sessions as follows:
Feb 8th: Silk painting
Feb 15th: Decoupage
Feb 22nd: Music for the Soul
March 1st: Cardmaking
March 8th: Creative writing
March 15th: Ceramics
March 22nd: Percussion
March 29th: Quilling
April 5th: Egg Decorating
April 12th: Printmaking
If you are interested please contact the Church Office (Tel: 3881313 or email info@cornerstonescentre.co.uk). The sessions, which are free, are limited to twelve people.
